CashKarlo (“we”, “us”, “our”) buys used laptops and MacBooks and collects them from sellers’ homes. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using our website or requesting a quote, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Name, mobile number, email address and city.
- Pickup address and pincode.
- Details about your device: brand, model, specifications, age, condition, defects, accessories, serial number, and photos you send.
- Messages you send us by form, call, email or WhatsApp.
Information we collect at pickup and payment
- A copy or record of your ID and proof of ownership (such as a purchase bill), where we need it to confirm that you own the device.
- Your signature on the purchase invoice.
- Your UPI ID or bank account details so we can pay you.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and how you arrived at our site.
- Data from cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
2. How we use your information
- To prepare and send you a price quote.
- To schedule and carry out the pickup and inspection.
- To verify ownership and prevent the purchase of stolen or locked devices.
- To pay you and issue an invoice.
- To contact you about your request by phone, SMS, email or WhatsApp.
- To improve our website, pricing and service.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Our team and technicians, who need your name, phone number, address and device details to carry out the pickup.
- Service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, email and messaging tools (including WhatsApp), analytics and advertising platforms (Google), and payment providers or banks.
- Authorities, where the law requires it, or to respond to a valid legal request, or to help prevent fraud and the sale of stolen goods.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is ever sold or merged. Your information would remain protected by this policy.
Some of these providers may process data on servers outside India.
4. Your device and your data
Before the pickup, please back up your data, sign out of your accounts (including iCloud, Google and Microsoft accounts) and turn off Find My Device or similar locks. Once we buy a device, we erase its storage before resale or recycling. We are not responsible for data left on a device that you hand over, though we take reasonable steps to erase it.
5. Cookies and advertising
Our site uses cookies and similar tools to make it work, to understand how visitors use it, and to measure our ads. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads [LIST ANY OTHER TOOLS, e.g. Meta Pixel]. These tools may use cookies to show you our ads on other websites after you visit ours (remarketing). You can turn off personalized ads at https://adssettings.google.com or change your browser’s cookie settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you block all cookies.
6. How long we keep your information
- Quote requests that don’t lead to a purchase: up to [12] months.
- Purchase records, invoices and ID copies: as long as tax, accounting and other laws require [e.g. up to 8 years].
- Website analytics data: as set by the tool’s own retention settings.
After that, we delete or anonymize it.
7. How we protect your information
We use reasonable safeguards, such as access controls and secure systems, to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information (we may need to keep records the law requires).
